Lookout for the comma queen

Wow. I can’t believe it. After so long wanting to get Birth-Promise published, here I am at a Salem Starbucks drinking steamed milk with honey (extra hot!), and copyediting the near-final manuscript! Pinch me.

Btw. I don’t care who says what about them, I LOVE and dearly appreciate copyeditors. I worked with three now, one for each of my books, and each time I have deeply appreciated their eagle eyes, good sense, and wonderful work. Yes, I’ll admit I get an occasional thrill from declining a recommended edit or two (thinking myself, for a brief, shining moment equal to them! A ha!), but then I go back to wondering if I should just save myself a lot of time and hit “accept all” and be done with it.

So…to my darling copyeditor: mea culpa for the commas. I’m a wreck with them and I can’t help myself. Thank you for making me look like the Comma Queen.

Birth-Promise comes out this spring!!
You’re gonna love it!
